Please read these terms carefully before using our service
PincodesInfo (pincodesinfo.in, the "Service") is run by Kiran Kumar J, Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("we", "us"). Contact: jkiranj7028@gmail.com or the contact form.
These Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy apply to your use of the website and of the PIN code API. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you accept them for that company.
PIN code and post office data comes from the All India Pincode Directory published by the Department of Posts, Government of India, on data.gov.in under the Government Open Data License – India.
That source contains errors, and India Post changes it from time to time. We correct mistakes we can verify, but we do not guarantee that any entry is complete, current or correct. Coordinates are approximate. Guides describe rules, charges and interest rates as of the date shown, and these change. Confirm anything that matters — a delivery address, a scheme rule, a rate — with India Post or the relevant authority. Nothing on the Service is financial, legal or tax advice.
You may use the website for personal and business purposes. You must not:
Each plan has the call allowance shown on the pricing page. Paid monthly plans also have a daily ceiling. When an allowance or ceiling is reached, further calls are refused until it resets; unused calls do not carry over. We may apply fair-use limits to calls made without a key.
You may use API responses in your own websites, apps and business processes, including commercially. If you display or redistribute the data, credit the source as: "Source: All India Pincode Directory, Department of Posts, Government of India (data.gov.in), Government Open Data License – India". You must not resell or rebuild the API itself as a competing service, or suggest that your product is endorsed by India Post or by us.
We aim to keep the API available but do not promise any uptime, and there are no service credits. We will announce breaking changes on the API documentation page, and to paid customers by email, before they take effect.
We may suspend or revoke a key that breaks these Terms, puts the Service at risk or is used unlawfully. Where it is safe to do so we will warn you first. If we end a paid plan without a breach by you, we refund the unused part of the current period.
The underlying government data is open data (see section 3). The website's design, text, guides and code are ours; you may quote short passages with a link back, but you may not copy whole pages or articles.
Ads are served by Google AdSense and we do not control their content. Some pages contain Amazon affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Linked third-party sites are not under our control.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data arising from the Service, including from errors in the data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, or ₹1,000 if you use only free services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within one month of receipt.
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes affecting paid customers are emailed at least 30 days before they apply. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to approach a consumer commission. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
